News:

Come Over To My House is the winner of the inaugural DANZ award Picture Book Category.

DANZ stands for Diversity in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Come Over To My House invites us into the homes of families who are D/deaf or disabled so it was wonderful to be the recipient of such an important award.

While Eliza couldn’t be there to accept the award on the day, she gave me permission to share this excerpt from our forthcoming book together:

Hello! My name is Eliza Hull. I have a physical disability, which means the world can feel inaccessible for me at times. When I was in school, I used a wheelchair whenever I’d had surgery. Sometimes I’d have to do a whole different class than my friends because the classroom had stairs, and that felt very unfair.

Daniel is busy illustrating our next book and it will be released in 2025.

Meanwhile, if you'd like to watch the Auslan version of Come Over To My House you can find it here
